SRINAGAR, Oct 11: The two day long District Wushu Championship commenced here today at Sher-i-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex, Srinagar.
The chief guest on this occasion was Lieutenant Colonel Kurnish who was accompanied by Manager of the Indoor Sports Complex in Srinagar, Hilal Ahmad and Sadit Aslam Wani, Vice President Wushu Association of J&K.
The championship will have participants from various clubs, schools and organizations within the Srinagar district competing in different categories based on age and skill level.
The Army officer said, “The District Wushu Championship 2023 provided a platform to showcase the immense talent of Wushu practitioners in the district. This event is a testament to the passion and dedication shown by the participants towards their sport, and I wish all the participants the very best of luck.”
