District Yoga C’ship concludes

RAJOURI, Jan 6: District Rajouri Yoga Championship, organized by District body in collaboration with Department of Physical Education Govt PG College, concluded at College premises, here today.
The event was organized under the aegis of J&K Sports Council, J&K Yoga Association and J&K Olympic Association.
About 135 students of different age groups participated in the championship. Prof Dr Shakeel Ahmed Raina Principal of the host College was the chief guest at the prize distribution ceremony. Mohd Shoket, Mohd Suleman, Parvez Mussharaf and Mohd Yaser were the judges of the event.
The competition was held under the supervision of Tanwir Ahmed, Assistant Physical Director Govt PG College Rajouri.
Under age group (10-12), 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions were secured by  Aziz-Ur-Rehman, Mohd Arbaz and Tahir Sahil respectively, while in 12-14 age group, 1st position was shared by Irtage Ali and Naman Kumar, while 2nd and 3rd places were clinched by Raghav Sharma and Zahid and in 10-12 girls age group, top three places were won by Bibi Amana, Ismat and Alia Choudhary, besides in age group 16-18 top three position were secured by Gourav Sharma, Mohd Rafiq and Rohit Pal respectively, whereas in age group 18-20, Nitin Singh, Iftkhar Hussain and  Parvez Choudhary won gold, silver and bronze medals, while in age group 20-22, top three places were clinched by Mohd Shoket, Mudasir Azeem and Mohd Sarfraz respectively.
