KATHUA, Aug 1: The Department of Youth Services and Sports Kathua has started its Inter School Zonal/District Level Sports Competitions at various venues in District Kathua under the overall supervision of DYSSO Kathua Subash Chander Bhardwaj.
The tournaments are being organized as per Annual Activity Calendar circulated by Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu and Kashmir.
On inaugural day of the competitions the trials/matches of Hockey at Sports Stadium Hiranagar, Handball at St. Xavier Convent School Hatli Morh and Football & Judo at Sports Stadium Kathua were held for Under-19 boys and girls.
A total of 160 players drawn from 12 schools of 6 zones of District participated in the competition.
