KARGIL, Mar 26: Divisional Commissioner Ladakh Saugat Biswas reviewed progress of languishing projects being taken up by different departments in the district at a meeting of the district officers today.
Deputy Commissioner Kargil Baseer ul Haq Choudhary, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sonam Chosjor, Chief Planning Officer Tashi Tundup, Executive Engineers of R&B, I&FC, PHE and Suru Valley Division Sankoo, sectoral heads of various departments besides other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
While reviewing the progress on various languishing projects being executed under different sectors like PHE, PWD (R&B), Health, Education, District Youth Services & Sports and other sectors, the Div Com directed the concerned officers to take appropriate and efficient steps for timely completion of these projects for optimum results.
It was informed in the meeting that under R&B sector, 61 projects amounting to Rs 306.33 crore, under irrigation 32 projects amounting to Rs 17.99 crore and 6 projects under PHE at a cost of Rs 16.38 crore have been approved by the High Powered Committee (HPC).
The Div Com directed the officers to submit all-inclusive details about the status of tendering for the execution of work on these projects. He also stressed on officers to prepare and submit the tender documents for all projects within a week’s time so that necessary permission to carry out tendering process and allotment of works could be sought from the Election Commission of India (ECI) in keeping with the ECI guidelines during the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).
The Div Com directed officers to work with added zeal and enthusiasm to ensure that all projects are tendered out within the next 30 days with prior approval of the ECI.
He also asked to the concerned officers to further gear up their men and machinery for quality and timely completion of these development projects well in time keeping in view the limited working season in the district.
Later, Divisional Commissioner chaired a meeting to review the status of Ayushman Bharat and PM Kissan schemes in the district.
He was informed that out of the target beneficiaries of 27190 on the Ayushman Bharat Portal, registration of 25888 beneficiaries has been done on the BIS portal with the registration achievement of 95%.
It was further informed that the registration of 307 beneficiaries has been carried out on TMS portal at District Hospital Kargil while as 29 patients have benefitted from the scheme. The registration of 278 beneficiaries is under process which would be completed soon.
The Div Com while underlining the importance of the scheme for poor and needy patients stressed on officers to complete the registration of left out beneficiaries well within the stipulated timelines.
About the status of Pradhan Mantri Kissan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN), the meeting was informed that out of 11,138 eligible farmers in the district the data collection of 10,302 farmers has been collected and the data of 8212 farmers has already been uploaded.
Div Com stressed on officers to make concerted efforts to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left deprived of the benefits of the scheme.
