Div Com reviews developmental projects

SRINAGAR, Sept 30: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Samoon today chaired a high level meeting and reviewed various developmental projects.
Divisional Commissioner took stock of marriage hall, community centre, being constructed at Jamia Masjid, Nowhatta. It was told in the meeting that residential houses and other structures getting affeted due to same will be fairly compensated.
During the meeting, Chief Engineer, R&B informed about various achievements of R&B Department during 2015-16. It was told that 1100 kms of main link roads has been macadamised against target of 1800 kms. He also informed about status of works for development and upgradation of parking areas at Press Colony Srinagar and Sheikh Bagh (Janglat Mandi).
It was given out in the meeting that construction and reconstruction of bridges damaged during September floods is under process.
Chief Engineer also informed that widening work on the road from Sangam to Pulwama via Lassipora is being carried out while as widening of 6-lane Sonwar-Galandar and KP Road Anantnag is in progress. Widening of Boulevard was also reviewed in the meeting.
Among others, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Chief Engineer R&B, X-En City Roads, SE Circular Road Project, Additional Deputy Commis-sioner Srinagar, Collector CRPC and Administrative Officer SDA were present in the meeting.
