UDHAMPUR, Nov 14: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Shantmanu reviewed developmental scenario and election preparedness here.
Divisional Commissioner reviewed physical and financial achievements registered under various sectors at an officers meeting and assessed the ongoing developmental works being executed by ERA, JKPCC and other executing agencies in the district.
He inquired about the drinking water supply situation to various areas, staff position in health and education sector, status of land acquisition with regard to National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), Railway, PMGSY projects, issue of land compensation.
Later, the Divisional Commissioner as a designated Roll Observer reviewed the preparation of  electoral roll, summery revision, establishment of election strong room, issues of EPIC and  registration of new electorates etc. He complimented the administration for improving security level with the installation of CCTV cameras in and around the designated EVM strong room.
District Development Commissioner Udhampur (DDC) Yasha Mudgal gave a detail account of physical and financial achievement registered in various sectors under annual distirct plan 2013-14.
The DDC explained that mapping of all polling stations has been done besides five colleges and nine higher secondary schools have been covered under Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation. While the process of Bio-Metric Mapping is in progress in snow bounded  area under Nation Population Registration, she maintained.
Among others, Additional District Development Commissioner, Ajay Singh Jamwal,  Additional Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Sharma, Joint Director Planning, Rakesh Jamwal,  IAS Probationer, R Jatt, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, N.S. Jamwal, SDM, Dudu Basantgarh, M. A. Banday and heads of various department were present on the occasion.
