KATHUA, Apr 12: To review the preparedness for the Lok Sabha elections, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Shantmanu today chaired a meeting of officers in the conference hall of DC office complex here today.
Returning Officer Udhampur constituency, Jitendra K. Singh informed the Divisional Commissioner about the election preparedness in the district through power point presentation. He also informed about the number of polling stations in the district and the facilities provided at the polling stations for the smooth conduct of polling which is scheduled to be held on 17th of April.
The communication plan for better coordination and liaison with the various officers on election duty was also discussed in the meeting. The transportation plan for polling parties was also discussed.
SSP, Kathua Mohan Lal apprised the meeting regarding various security arrangements putforth for the conduct of free and fair election.
