Div Com reviews NBCC, ERA works

JAMMU, Sept 21:  Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Pradeep Gupta today emphasized  the need of close coordination among executing agencies with other concerned departments so that the vital public utility works are not delayed due to lack of synchronization at any level.
He was  chairing an officers meeting to review the progress of various development works being executed by NBCC and ERA in Jammu city.
Threadbare discussion was held on further streamlining the functioning of these executing agencies for timely and quality completion of ongoing development projects. Besides, strategies to remove bottlenecks hampering smooth execution of these projects were also deliberated upon.
The Divisional Commissi-oner directed the executing agencies involved in various projects to complete the ongoing works in a time bound manner well before Darbar move.
He enjoined upon the functionaries of ERA, NBCC and other executing agencies to gear up their efforts so that the ongoing sewerage and other developmental projects would be completed well in time.
Enquiring about the present status of Sewerage Treatment Plant at Bhagwati Nagar, the Senior General Manager NBCC,  Hem Raj apprised the chair that the work on the project is completed and the plant will  be operational only after conducting the vital check-tests.
He also took stock of the physical and financial achievements registered by both these agencies. He asked them to gear up men and machinery to achieve the fixed targets. He directed the ERA and NBCC authorities to install sign boards displaying the information of work done by the agency, time of start and its completion.
The meeting was attended by MLA, East, Ashok Khajuria, District Development Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma, Commissioner JMC,  Kuldeep Khajuria, Chief Engineers, PHE, PDD, R&B, Irrigation, SSP Traffic, Jammu and other senior functionaries of concerned departments.
