To divert attention from rebellion, Pak indulging in border shelling: Thakur

JAMMU, Oct 18: Coming down heavily on Pakistan, BJYM National president and MP Anurag Thakur today said that to turn attention from their own failures and divert the increasing public pressure on Government, Pakistan has resorted to ceasefire violations and indulged in heavy shelling on International Border and LoC.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Thakur said the border shelling from across is the result of frustration on the part of Pak Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharief as he is facing a stiff Opposition and rebellion within. To divert the attention of people from his own failures Mr Sharief has engaged his forces on border shelling, he added.
Mr Thakur who reached here to participate in BJYM’s one day convention, however lauded the role of Indian forces saying that Pakistan will be given a befitting reply for its misadventures. He, while expressing his sympathies with border migrants said that present Government at Delhi is committed to mitigate their sufferings.
Mr Thakur who was flanked by BJP State president Ravinder Raina and national leader of the organization Shiv Bushan also expressed his grave concern over the waiving of ISIS flags in Kashmir valley and said it is a serious security concern.
He expressed concern over the plight of PoK and West Pak refugees, Kashmiri and border migrants and said the successive State Governments have failed to settle their problems over the years.
He said Congress, PDP and NC instead of solving their problems have indulged into communal and vote bank politics.
He said after the Party’s landslide victory in Lok Sabha elections this year and the exit poll showing that BJP is all set to form Governments in Maharashtra and Haryana, party will also attain the Mission 44+ in J&K Assembly elections.
He said there is anti Congress wave all across as people are fed up with its misrule and dismal performance on all fronts. “BJP is capable and it will perform much better in coming Assembly elections J&K also’’, he added.
He  lauded the role of youth of J&K in making BJP victorious in Lok Sabha elections in the State.
Terming Narendra Modi a dynamic leader, he said up to 36 hours Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah was in deep slumber during recent floods in the State and he only awoke after Mr Modi reached here to take the stock of the situation in flood hit State. The Prime Minister later deputed a team of his ministers for assessment of situation and overseeing rescue and relief operations, he added.
He said Centre also extended all support and help to the State in rebuilding the damaged infrastructure and rehabilitation of flood victims and Central teams continue to visit State while the State Government is still sleeping.
He said due to wrong policies and misgovernance the Kashmir is on cross roads today and once called a paradise on earth has been now turned into hell. He however asserted that with BJP coming to power in the State it will again convert Kashmir into a paradise.
BJYM president Ravinder Raina while highlighting the contribution of youth in Lok Sabha polls alleged that successive State Governments have ignored the youth and failed to frame a concrete policy for their welfare.
He however expressed the hope that the youth will play their remarkable roll in the coming Assembly elections in the State and extend full support to BJP in creating a history in J&K elections also.
Earlier addressing a one day convention here Mr Thakur took the stock of the activities and discussed the strategy for the coming Lok Sabha elections. Total 132 volunteers of BJYM across the State participated in the convention.
BJYM national leaders Narinder Atri and Parmoksh Seth also spoke on the occasion. During the convention BJYM district presidents, Ishant Gupta and Ajay Vaid felicitated Mr Thakur. The proceedings were conducted by Inder Samyal and vote of thanks was proposed by Ajay Pargal.
