DKD to expand its activities in Jammu Pradesh: Mankotia

JAMMU, Aug 7: Dogra Kranti Dal (DKD), a non-political social organization which has been working in Udhampur district, has decided to expand its activities throughout the Jammu Pradesh.
Addressing the media persons here today, patron, DKD, Balwant Singh Mankotia said the issues concerning Jammu Pradesh including unemployment, attempts at raising religious sentiments, promotion of Dogri language and development of Jammu Pradesh, which need immediate redressal, have been relegated to background by the political leadership.
He said keeping these issues in mind we have decided to establish units of DKD in all the districts of Jammu Pradesh and dissolve the existing body with immediate effect. He further announced that DKD would recruit 5000 volunteers, who would spread out among different corners of Jammu Pradesh and educate the people about Government’s discrimination with people of Jammu Pradesh.
Deliberating on the activities of DKD to be undertaken, Mankotia disclosed that the State Government has been continuously ignoring the burning issues being faced by people of Jammu Pradesh including unemployment, underdevelopment, step-motherly treatment to Dogri language and ignoring Jammu youth in every aspect.
Mankotia said that DKD would take up these issues on priority basis and seek redressal through ‘Direct Action’. He said that even private industries, which are receiving industrial packages or other benefits from the State Government, are not honouring the commitment of providing 90% employment to local youth, made with the Government.
He said now even the Central Government, which claims to be pro-Jammu Pradesh has employed even Class 4th employees from either outside the State or Kashmir.
Mankotia appealed the people especially youth of Jammu Pradesh to join Dogra Kranti Dal in large number.
