RAJOURI, June 23: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) today organised an awareness camp on COVID-19 pandemic at District Jail Dhangri, here with the coordination of District Youth Services & Sports and Nehru Yuva Kendra.
The event was organised under the aegis of Chief Justice of J&K High Court, Gita Mittal and Executive Chairman JKSLSA, Justice Rajesh Bindal and DLSA Chairman, Jaffer Hussain Beg.
Chairman, Jaffer Hussain Beg apprised the gathering about the facts and myths associated with COVID-19. He stressed upon the jail inmates to wear masks, to wash hands properly and to disclose to Jail Authority in case anyone has the symptoms like cough, cold or fever to prevent the spread of the deadly disease.
On this occasion, sports goods such as Cricket kit, Badminton kit, Carrom Boards, Volleyballs, Skipping ropes and Rubber rings were distributed among the inmates by the Chairman DLSA.
Meyank Gupta, secretary DLSA; Adress Wani (DYS&S) and Nitin Hangloo (NYK) were also present during the event.
