JAMMU, Aug 20: After abrogation of Article 370 and suspension of mobile services, District Administration Doda has started PCO service for the people here.
As per reports, on August 5 this year, Article 370 was abrogated and mobile services were snapped across the State including the hilly district Doda.
The people got worried as they could not talk to their near and dear ones due to suspension of the mobile services. Click here to watch video
To provide relief to the people, District Administration Doda has started PCO service for them, so that they can talk to their near and dear ones.
While talking to media persons, a PCO Operator informed that around 1700 calls have been made by the people in the past 5 days. “Till 1 pm today, around 150 calls have been made by the people to know about the well being of their near and dear ones”, he added.
People in various other areas of the District Doda are worry about their other family members and relatives, he said and asserted for opening of more PCOs in the different areas of the District Doda, so that people can talk to their near and dear ones and also know about their well being.
