Doda athletes shine at 27th J&K UT Taekwondo C’ships

JAMMU, Feb 12: District Doda’s Taekwondo athletes made an impressive impact at the 27th J&K UT Taekwondo Championships 2024-25, securing a remarkable 25 medals including 14 Gold, 4 Silver and 7 Bronze securing an overall 3rd place. The event held at Indoor Hall Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu, was organized by the J&K Taekwondo Association under the Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI) and J&K Sports Council (JKSC).
The gold medallists from District Doda included Umaiza Sarfaraz, Rutba Jaffer, Zikra Fatima and several others, while Aira Fatima, Muhammad Ayaan Zargar and Kashif Iqbal took home silver medals. Bronze medallists included Ridhima Singh Rakwal, Aleeza Fatima, and several others. The team’s remarkable performance was guided by Burhan Ud Din Khan (NIS Taekwondo Coach / National Referee) and Babar Mujahid (Team Coach).
