SRINAGAR, Nov 20: District Doda athletes delivered outstanding performance at 12th Pre-Teen, Sub-Junior, and Junior National Pencak Silat Championships 2024, held at Sher-e-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex, Srinagar.
Organized by the Pencak Silat Federation of India, the event saw fierce competition from athletes from across the country.
Athletes from District Doda, representing Chenab Sports Academy, showcased exceptional skills and brought laurels to the region.
The medal winners in the Championship were Haiyka Batool Zargar, won Gold in Girls Under 63 kg category;
Moosa Bilal Zargar, won Gold in Pre-Junior Male Under 63 kg category; Hisham Bin Rizwan Wani, won Gold in Pre-Teen Male Under 32 kg category; Mohd Aleem Zargar, won Silver in Junior Male Under 87 kg category and Ifrat Rafiq, won Bronze in Junior Female Under 92 kg category.
Mehreen Bint Riaz participated in the event gaining experience.
Coach Nideem Niaz Zargar, representing Chenab Sports Academy emphasized the Academy’s commitment to nurture talent and promoting sports excellence in the region.
