Doda enters into final in U-19 Girls Cricket tourney

UDHAMPUR, Dec 2: Doda district entered into the finals of Divisional Level Inter District Cricket tournament (Leather Ball) for girls (U-19) at Subhash Stadium, here today.
The competition is being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports Udhampur under the patronage of Director Youth Services and Sports J&K UT Subash Chander Chibber and under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai.
First match was played between Kathua and Kishtwar in which Kathua won the toss and chose to bat first and set the target of 44 runs by losing all its wickets while chasing the target and district Kishtwar won the match by nine wickets.
In the first semi-final match between Doda and Jammu, Doda gave the target of 116 runs for the loss of one wicket and while chasing the target Jammu only managed to score 52 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.
Second semi-final and final match will be played tomorrow. Selectors for the tournament were Sandeepan, Payal Choudhary (Jammu) and Pooja Sharma (Udhampur).
