POONCH, Aug 30: Defeating Poonch in the title clash, Doda District lifted the Under 16 boys Divisional Level Inter District Cricket Tournament which concluded here in which teams from 10 districts of Jammu Division participated.
District Youth Services and Sports Office Poonch organized the tournament in collaboration with 39 RR Army.
MLC Jahingir Hussain Mir was the chief guest whereas SP Shamsher Hussain, Commanding Officer 39RR Munesh Sharma and K. K. Kapoor a prominent citizen attended as guests of honour. Officers of district Administration, especially of YSS, Sportslovers, other prominent citizen and youths participated in the final match.
MLC during his address appreciated efforts of DYSS office for organizing such tournament. He said talents of youth be utilized in such constructive activities.
Ikhlaq Ahmed of Doda team was declared Man of the Match where as Mr. Aman Deep Singh of Poonch team declared as Man of series on the occasion.
