Doda Police organizes Kho-Kho Tournament

BHADERWAH, Mar 23: To promote sporting activities among girls, especially those living in rural areas, Bhadarwah police organized a Kho-Kho Tournament for girls under Civic Action Programme (CAP), here.
The tournament in which 4 girls teams of schools of the area participated was organized at Govt Girls Higher Secondary School Bhadarwah.
On the occasion, ASP Bhaderwah Rajinder Singh was the chief guest, while SDPO Brijesh Sharma and In-charge Principal Dr Nazir Ahmed were the guests of honour. SHO Bhadarwah Munir Khan presided over the sporting event and PEM Abdul Haq conducted the proceedings of the programme.
The final match of the tournament was played between Girls A and Girls B, which was won by Girls A. Winners and runners-up teams were awarded with medals and trophies.
ASP Bhaderwah was all praise for the young players who played with sporting spirit.
“Police under CAP is always there to provide them all the help by giving them a platform to perform. The events are being organized under the direction of DGP to involve the youths in healthy and positive activities and to keep them away from bad habits,” ASP added.
SDPO Bhaderwah Brijesh Sharma also spoke on the occasion and stressed upon the students to participate in the sports activities for their overall growth and development.
Besides In-charge Principal Rabia, Refrees Jai Kumar, Tariq Mehmood and Asha Devi, were also present on the occasion.
