JAMMU, Oct 24: A Volley-ball Tournament was organized by Doda Police, under Civic Action Programme 2016-17 at Govt Higher Secondary School Kastigarh.
In this tournament, 8 teams from Kastigarh, Dessa, Bhagwah, Gurmal, Shaleen, HSS Bhagwah and HSS Kastigarh and Mandool participated.
The final match of the tournament was played between Bhagwah and Gurmal which was won by Bhagwah.
The event was inaugurated by Mohammad Shabir, SSP Doda.
The main objective of organizing such events under CAP was to bridge the gap between Police and Public and to channelize the energy of youths towards sports and constructive activities. On this occasion Additional SP Ops Doda, Ravinderpal Singh, DySP Hqrs Doda, Iftkhar Ahmed, Principal Govt Higher Secondary School, Kastigarh and Tehsidar Kastigarh were present.
The dignitaries awarded the winners with a trophy and a cash prize, besides Volleyball kits and certificates to the participants.
