JAMMU, Mar 20: Under the leadership of Chairman Th. Gulchain Singh Charak and Secretary Samardev Singh Charak, the NCC unit of Dogra Degree College organized an insightful and empowering self-defence demonstration at Dogra Group of College’s auditorium. The session aimed to equip students with vital self-defence techniques, ensuring their safety and resilience in today’s dynamic world.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who actively engaged in learning practical self-defence manoeuvres demonstrated by trained professionals Neha Jaral and Nikhil Jaral. The session focused on techniques that could be applied effectively in real-life scenarios to deter potential threats and enhance personal safety.
Dr. Bela Thakur, Director of Dogra Group of Colleges and Principal of Dogra Degree College emphasized the importance of empowering women through self-defence training. She stated, “Empowering women with self-defence techniques is not just about physical strength but also about instilling confidence and mental preparedness. This initiative is a step toward ensuring that our students feel safe and secure in any situation.”
