JAMMU, Jan 21: Dogra Degree College organized its Alumni Meet in its College premises, here.
Most of the Alumni were visiting their Alma Mater after a long time and naturally were thrilled to be back in the campus. The function began with the lighting of traditional lamp by the dignitaries.
Bela Thakur, Principal, Dogra Degree College extended a hearty welcome to the Alumni and dignitaries.
In welcome address, the Principal updated the alumni about new initiatives taken up by the college and informed that 8 batches of BBA (3 years) course have passed out since the college was established in 2008.
The election of the Alumni Association was also held, wherein Prince Rajput was elected as President, Sunny as Vice- president and Radhu Gupta as Secretary of the Alumni Association of Dogra Degree College.
All the three office bearers were felicitated by the college. Mementoes were also presented to all the 25 alumni who made it a point to revisit their college after 5 -7 years.
Th Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister & Chairman, Dogra Educational Trust appreciated the alumni for showing interest in contributing for betterment of the institution.
He also thanked the Alumni for supporting the event.
Kr Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust in his address appreciated the team of Dogra Degree College for organizing the alumni meet.
The event was glittered by cultural performances of the students of the college.
The meet was concluded with vote of thanks by Puneet Kour, Lecturer Dogra Degree College.
