UDHAMPUr, Mar 8: 131st Marathon against drugs was organized by Non-Government Organization (NGO) from Domail Chowk of Udhampur to Venus Chowk of Sailan Talab in district Udhampur here today.
The half marathon which started at 8 AM was only for the girl participants. This half marathon race was flagged off by the Chief patron of Dogra Kranti Dal, BJP leader Balwant Singh Mankotia.
In the marathon, the first place was secured by Preeti and was given a cash prize of Rs 2,100, Isha Sharma secured second place, who was awarded with an amount of Rs 1,100, Nidhi stood third, who was awarded with an amount of Rs 700. Apart from this, hundreds of girls took part in this marathon race and gave a message to the society against drug addiction.
