Dogra School celebrates Annual Day

JAMMU, Feb 16:  To commemorate the glorious services in the field of education, Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, Jammu celebrated its Annual Day and Prize distribution ceremony today in the Auditorium of GCW, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
Shantmanu, Divisional Commissioner Jammu was the Chief Guest  and Th Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister and president Dogra Sadar Sabha (J&K) presided over the function.
A colourful cultural programme was presented by the students. The toddlers of Pre-Primary presented a dance item which enthralled the audience present there. The school students presented variety of items and skits which included Punjabi folk Dance, Garba Dance, English song, etc. and were greatly appreciated by the large gathering of dignitaries, guests and parents present there. The chief guest distributed the awards and prizes among the winners for their accomplishments in the fields of academics, sports, music and fine arts.
The Principal, Davinder Kour read out the Annual Report and expressed gratitude to parents for their co-operation to make the programme of the school an impressive one.
Prominent amongst those who attended the function included, Surekha Charak, Secretary Managing Committee DHSS,  Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust, Uma Katal, Director, Rich Harvest Schools,  Bela Senior Lecturer, Dogra College of Education and Ruchi Administrator Rich Harvest School, Bari Brahmana , Gambhir Dev Singh Charak,  Kiran Bakshi, Principal Govt. Women College, Gandhi Nagar and others.
The Function concluded with a vote of thanks presented by  Nirmala Kaul, the Vice Principal and ‘Adieu’ in celebration.
