Dogra Warriors beats J&K R. Club in T-20 Cricket

JAMMU, May 15: Dogra Warrior Akhnoor trounced J&K Warriors Rotary Club in the ongoing Ravi Kant Gupta Memorial Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament on Day-2, being organized by Parade Sports Association, here today.
Dogra Warriors won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 211 runs by losing 5 wickets. Vikas was the top scorer with 49 runs, studded with 5 boundaries and 2 sixes and remained unbeaten, while Lablu scored 43 runs with the help of seven boundaries and two maximum in 15 balls and Vicky Bakshi and Rajinder Singh and Rohit contributed 29, 28 and 26 runs respectively.
From the bowling side, Vivek Suri took 2 wickets, Rajpal Singh and Tiger shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, Rotary Club succeeded to make 132 runs by losing 9 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Amit Kumar was the top scorer with 32 runs (5 boundaries & 1 Six), Gurmeet Singh made unbeaten 30 runs and Jimmy Mani, Jameel Rehman contributed 19 and 11 runs respectively.
From the bowling side, Rakesh Sharma was the wrecker-in-chief who took 4 wickets, while Anchal and Chandan got 2 wickets each and Ravi Chaudhary clinched 1 wicket.
Rakesh Sharma of Dogra Warriors Akhnoor was declared as man of the match.
