SAMBA, Sept 5: J&K Dharmarth Trust opened the donation boxes and held counting of the cash and other offerings made by devotees at Purmandal Temple complex.
According to a handout issued by the Dharmarth Trust, the counting of cash was conducted following all the guidelines and under the close supervision of Deputy Commissioner Samba.
It is pertinent to mention that Dharmarth Trust president Advocate Ajay Gandotra and secretary Dr Gopal Parthasarthi Sharma along with the DC Samba, ADC Samba and SSP Samba accomplished the job in presence of prominent people of the area and responsible Government officials deputed in the district.
The orders for the counting of cash and other offerings were issued by DC Samba holds great significance in the eyes of devotees and locals living in the vicinity. The entire process was competed with ease and great satisfaction of all the witnesses present on the occasion. Tehsildar Bari Brahmana, Naib Tehsildar, SHO Purmandal and secretary J&K Dharmarth Trust besides members of Committee of the local people and officials of Tourism Department were also present during the counting.
After the completion of the counting of cash, president Dharmarth Trust anticipated that the District Administration will continue to extend support and will play a significant role in the development of Purmandal Shrine as envisaged by the Trustees of the Dharmarth Trust. He also hoped that like past practice the locals will persistently augment their help in enhancing facilities in the Shrine.
Meanwhile, he also paid a surprise visit to Smaah Temple and took stock of the functioning of the Temple in connection with Somvati Amavasya falling on September 6, 2021. He also inspected the shopping complex outside the Temple. He also met Sarpanch Anisha Devi and discussed key issues regarding the development of temple.
The Trust’s president observed that there is requirement of solar lights and crate wire protection bunds on the banks of river as thousands of devotees shall be expected to visit in the Temple in view of Somvati Amavasya. Gandotra appealed to the Director Tourism to make provision of lights and protection bunds for the welfare of devotees as well as for the upliftment of the temple.
