Donations continue to pour in to fight COVID-19

JAMMU, April 27: A war veteran on his 96th birthday donated Rs 51,000 to the Prime Minister (PM) CARES Fund to fight against Coronavirus. Retired Captain Sadhu Singh Manhas, who had been part of JAK Rifles, handed over the cheque to BJP Member Parliament Shamsher Singh Manhas in the presence of J&K BJP president, Ravinder Raina.
Contributing his small help towards PM CARES Fund, Pawan Choudhary, who runs a Brick kiln and Tiles industry donated an amount of Rs 50,000 through cheque and handed it over to J&K BJP vice president and former Minister Sham Lal Sharma in the presence of Mahant Rohit Shastri and social activist Sunil Sharma.
Contractors’ Association Leh donated Rs 1 lakh to CEC Relief Fund. President, Contractors’ Association Leh, Tashi Dawa accompanied by secretary Nawang Samstan handed over the donation cheque to Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Leh Gyal P Wangyal at Council secretariat.
