NEW DELHI, June 7: Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has directed all employees of Central Government to adhere social distancing and health and hygiene practices against COVID19 which is a matter of paramount importance at Ministries, Departments and offices.
In a letter issued on June 4 to all Central Ministries and Departments, the DoPT said “All Government servants as responsible employees should abide by these practices so that the Government offices function in the most efficient manner in the given situation”.
The letter further said that Union Home Ministry order dated May 30 has prescribed the ‘Additional Directives’ for work places whereas the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, on its directives on June 4, has issued the Standard Operative Procedure (SoPs) on preventive measures to contain the spread of COVID 19 at workplaces and asked all the Central Government employees to ensure strict compliance of instructions issued by DoPT as well as Union Home Ministry and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
