UDHAMPUR, Mar 19: DPAP candidate from Kathua-Udhampur-Doda Parliamentary constituency, G M Saroori today visited Udhampur where he sought public support for him in upcoming Lok Sabha (LS) polls.
On arrival at Udhampur, Saroori-a 3-time MLA and 2-time Cabinet Minister in Jammu and Kashmir, was given a grand welcome by party leaders including general secretary RS Chib, provincial president Jugal Kishore Sharma, minority cell president Kirtan Singh and district president Ashwani Khajuria.
Speaking on the occasion, Saroori said that in the last 10 years, people of every class have been harassed, whether they are daily wagers of PHE, Anganwadi helper workers, Asha workers and cooks of Government schools. He said that if he wins in LS polls, he will raise the voice of all those in the Parliament who have been troubled by the false promises of BJP because they say something and do something else.
“To raise the voice of Udhampur, people’s support is needed and now every person has to vote wisely because now the vote has to be given for work and not for lies,” Saroori asserted and sought support of people for him in the upcoming LS elections.
Ashwani Khajuria, senior leader Brij Mohan Sharma and many other leaders spoke on the occasion. Priti Khajuria, senior leader Sanjeev Dubey, Shriraj, district working president Neeraj Thappa and Sanjeev Jandayal, youth district president Sachin Magotra, city president Saksham Seth, Pawan Kumar, Sardar Tej Bahadur, Rosy Begum, Kanchan, Shilpa Sharma, Shakti Devi were present on the occasion.
