DPS Badhani announces aviation tie-up on eve of Founder’s Day

BADHANI (PATHANKOT), Dec 11:
Dalhousie Public School (DPS), Badhani, which celebrated its Founder’s Day here today, announced a path breaking tie-up in the aviation sector.
P S Grewal, Director, DPS, Badhani announced that the school has entered into an agreement with Island Flying School located within the Porter Airport, Toronto, Canada, for training the school’s students in flying.
“A trainee who wants to join the program needs to be 16 years or above in age. In a span of two months he or she will be taught sports flying and will be given a recreational pilot’s license. At the end of the training, the trainee will also get a Private Pilot License”.
Meanwhile, the Founder’s Day celebrations got off to a colourful start with the cutting of ribbon by the school’s founder, MS Grewal. The chief guest on the occasion was Major General Balbir Singh, GOC, 29 Infantry Division, who Unfurl the School Flag.
After this balloons were released by children. A captivating cultural programme viewed by parents and all the visitors followed. Two enthralling dances by juniors and seniors were part of the event.
A fete was organized on the sprawling school campus which presented a pretty picture. A stall was dedicated to giving information on the school’s aviation sector training initiative. The theme of the day was Christmas. A Santa and Christmas tree embellished the arena. Prizes for best dressed parent couple; raffle draw etc were also part of the Founder’s Day. 28 stalls of various games and for demonstrating one’s skills as also for eats had been put up.
