JAMMU, Oct 15: Inter House Basketball Competition was organized by the Department of Physical Education and Sports of Delhi Public School in the school premises, here.
Five houses namely Chenab, Ganga, Jehlum, Tawi and Yamuna house students participated in the said tournament.
The tournament was organized to promote the spirit of sportsmanship and to develop basketball skill among the students.
Principal f the School, Ruchi Chabra was the chief guest on the occasion.
Earlier, in the summit clash, Jhelum house showed its supremacy and took the lead right from the beginning and clinched the title by defeating Yamuna house by a margin of 2 points (17-15). The main scorer of Jhelum house was Arjun Jamwal who was also adjudged the man of the tournament. Arjun played brilliantly for Jehlum house while Akshit Gupta of Yamuna house also fought well to keep the moral up of his house and won 2nd place.
The matches were officiated by Sudesh Manhas, Yogesh Manhas and Amit Kour.
