DPS Jammu organizes Art Exhibition

JAMMU, Dec 30: Delhi Public School (DPS) Jammu organized an Art Exhibition ‘Srijan’ in its School premises here today.
The students of classes IX-XII displayed their handwork in the form of paintings, posters, ceramics, glasswork, paper machie and potted clay.
Justifying the appropriateness of term ‘Srijan’, the exhibition was divided into six themes such as ‘Folder of Life’, ‘Shared Humanity’, ‘Prakriti’, ‘Voices’, ‘Joys of life’ and ‘Kagaz aur Mitti’.
The award winning posters on ‘Energy Conservation’ and articles of pottery made during pottery workshop were also displayed on the occasion.
Inaugurating the exhibition, Dr D Joseph, Additional Director/Principal of the School appreciated all amateur and talented artists particularly, Tejanya Mohan of Class XI-D whose works of oil on paper and pencil sketching were beautiful.
Among other appreciable works, the paper mashie pieces depicting classical ‘Jugal Bandi’ of Shehnai and Tabla, Rainy Season and Kite-flying were praised by one and all.
Headmistress DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra lauded the efforts and hard work put in by the students under the guidance of Senior Art Teacher, Suresh Sharma.
Headmistress upto Middle wing,  Meenu Gupta, Suminder Singh (Liaison Officer) and School Coordinators were also present on the occasion.
