DPS Jammu organizes Inter-House Yoga, Chess Competition

JAMMU, July 26: Delhi Public School Jammu held an Inter-House Yoga and Chess Competition here today. The students from Classes II to XII participated, showcasing their flexibility, balance and focus through various yoga asanas and chess strategies.
In the yoga competition, Yamuna House emerged as the overall winner. Among the boys in the III-V category, Aadhya Gupta (IV-B) from Tawi House secured the first position, followed by Mustabha Sajad (IV-G) and Anmol Sharma (V-F) from Jhelum House in second and third positions respectively. In the girls’ category, Bhavya Sharma (IV-F) from Yamuna House clinched the top spot, with Nishita Meeniya (IV-G) from Ganga House in second, and Aavya Manhas (V-G) and Dhriti Langeh (IV-F) sharing third place.
For boys in the VI-VIII category, Atharav Sharma (VII-A) from Yamuna House took first place, Prajwal Gupta (VII-A) from Ganga House came second, and Divyesh Sharma (VI-A) from Chenab House placed third. In the girls’ category, Kasak Manhas (VII-I) from Tawi House won first place, followed by Shivanshi Gupta (VI-E) from Yamuna House and Somya Sharma (VII-C) from Ganga House in second place. Aarna Kohli (VII-B) from Ganga House and Urwah Sajad (VI-G) from Chenab House shared third place.
Chenab House triumphed in the chess competition. Among boys in the II-V category, Ansh Bakshi (IV-A) secured the first position, followed by Pratyaksh Kumar (IV-J) from Ganga House and Bhanuveer Singh Bhatia (V-E) from Yamuna House. In the girls’ category, Alankrita Sharma (IV-K) from Yamuna House took first place, Anwesha Thakiyal (V-B) from Chenab House was second, and Aiza Akhter (IV-H) from Chenab House came third.
In the VI-VIII category for boys, Jhigneshwar Razdan (VII-A) from Tawi House claimed the top spot, with Krivam Sharma (VII-C) from Chenab House in second, and Anshyan Gupta (VIII-C) from Tawi House in third. For girls, Kanisha Sawhney (VI-J) from Chenab House won first place, followed by Prapti Verma (VII-B) from Yamuna House in second, and Aryahi Verma (VI-I) from Ganga House in third.
Among the senior students (IX-XII), Abhiveer Sharma (IX-C) and Vansh Bakshi (IX-C) from Tawi House secured the first and second positions respectively in the boys’ category, while Mitarth Gupta (XII-G) from Jhelum House placed third. In the girls’ category, Sriyanika Gupta (X-H) from Jhelum House won first place, Kavya Verma (IX-C) from Chenab House came second and Aavishi Aggarwal (XII-F) from Yamuna House took third place.
