JAMMU, Aug 25: Delhi Public School (DPS), Jammu organized ‘Inter House Yoga Competition’ for the students of classes III to V here today. The students showcased their talent by performing some very extra-ordinary yoga Asanas.
The students who won medals included Riya Bhan of III-E (Gold medal), Mohammad Rehan of III-B (Silver medal), Kartik Pandita of III-D and Rohan Sharma of III-A (Bronze medals).
Kritika of IV-C secured Gold medal, whereas Ritvik of IV-K claimed Silver medal and Pawani of IV-A bagged Bronze medal. Lachiya of V-G secured Gold medal, Shubhdeep of V-A bagged Silver medal and Aseem Bhat of V-I claimed Bronze medal.
The competition was adjudged by Ranjana Verma, teacher of the school.
While addressing the students, Headmistress, Meenu Gupta laid emphasis on practicing Yoga as some yogic postures are very useful in enhancing height, increasing concentration and developing healthy mind and healthy body.
Ruchi Chabra, Principal, DPS Jammu advised the students to make a habit of practicing yoga everyday as it will be very beneficial in the long run also.
