JAMMU, Oct 15: The skaters of Delhi Public School, Jammu won seven medals (1 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze) in the recently concluded CBSE North Zone-1 Roller Skating Championship.
The championship was organized by CBSE Sports Board at KBDAV Public School, Chandigarh.
About 600 skaters drawn from various CBSE schools of North Zone competed in the different age categories in the championship.
The students who won the medals are Raghav Gupta (1 gold), Drishti Gupta (1 silver), Somya Sharma (1 bronze), Dhruv Gupta (2 bronze) and Arush Kapoor (1 Silver and 1 bronze). Among these medal winners, Raghav Gupta, Drishti Gupta and Arush Kapoor have also qualified for the Nationals on the basis of their performance in the championship.
The medal winners were felicitated by the school in a special assembly organized in the school campus. DR D Joseph, principal of the school lauded the efforts of the participants and their parents for their excellent achievements.
