DPS Jammu wins award for best rhythmic performance in Dance Competition

JAMMU, Aug 19: DPS Jammu bagged 3rd runner up position and also won the award for the best rhythmic and synchronized performance in Inter DPS Dance competition organized recently by The Delhi Public School Society, New Delhi, at DPS Chandigarh.
The theme of the competition was ‘Tamso Maa Joytirgamya (from darkness to light)’, in which about 18 teams participated.
The theme of dance presented by DPS Jammu was based on the true story of one Aditya Tiwari, an acclaimed youngest single father of his adopted son, Binny. The participants were Trisha Mahajan (XII-B), Rajnandni (XI-J), Anenya Verma (X-B), Bhavya Jain (X-A), Gauri Sharma (X-A), Khushi Anand (IX-J), Arpitaa Mangotra (IX-D), Antra Dhar (VIII-B) and Tarini Mangotra (VII-B).
The dance was choreographed by Shalini Pradhan. Sanjeet Mehra has also accompanied the school team.
Ruchi Chabra, Principal, DPS Jammu and Headmistress, Meenu Gupta lauded the efforts of the school team and conveyed their best wishes to all the winners for all future events.
