KATHUA, Feb 9: 11th District Kathua Speedball Championship concluded in an impressive function at SK Farm, here.
Around 300 students participated in the Championship, which was organised by J&K Sports Speedball Association.
Former Minister Ch Lal Singh, President DSS was the chief guest on the concluding ceremony, while Pushpinder Singh Charak, Youth Leader DSS was the guest of honour.
Prominent among other dignitaries present on the occasion were Sunny Nanda, General Secretary J&K Speedball Association; Nirmal Mahna, Principal DPS Kathua; Shuchita Gupta, Director IDPS Kathua; Pawan Kumar, Media In-charge JKSB and Sudesh Choudhary, Owner SK Farm.
The participating Schools included Delhi Public School, Mount Litera Zee school, International Delhi public school, Jammu Sanskriti School, DAV Collegiate School, Kartar Public School, Indian Public School, Minerva Public School Barnoti & Kathua branches; SD Tara Puri High School and Dogra Hr Secondary School.
The champion of the year boy and girl was Maiyank Mahajan of Minerva Public School and Muskan Choudhary of Delhi Public School.
The officials of the Championship were Ankit Sharma, Aditya Aithmia, Sandeep Sharma, Rahul Tuli, Parkash Singh, Mitali Sharma and Baljeet Kour.
The Association appreciated the efforts of the organisers especially coach Sahil Janjua, Head of District Kathua Association.
