Jammu, Aug 26: Delhi Public School, SMVDU, Katra organized Investiture Ceremony with pomp and show today.
Sub District Magistrate, Katra Anil Kumar Chandail graced the occasion as chief guest.
The programme began with the prayer & DPS song by the school choir.
Badges and sashes were conferred to the new members of the school cabinet by SDM, Katra Anil Kumar Chandail, Principal R. K. Verma and Head Mistress Vandna Sharma.
The Head boy Sandhya Kesar and the Head girl Veepasha Singh delivered the oath and took the pledge to hold school motto on the occasion.
The school cabinet (2015-2016) comprised of Head boy Sandhya Kesar, Head girl Veepasha Singh, House Captain Abhinav Sharma (Chenab House), Nandita Khajuria (Jhelum House) Arantika Verma (Ganga House), Om Kesar (Yamuna House),Vice Captain: Sarthak Mahajan (Chenab House), Raghav Chargotra (Jhelum House), Manat Sharma (Ganga House), Sucheta Deb (Yamuna House), Sports Captain, Kanwar Choudhary (Chenab House), Anuraj Suri (Jhelum House), Karmanyu Badgotra (Ganga House ), Rishi Bharti (Yamuna House) Cultural Secretary, Manik Anthal (Chenab House ), Kashish Bharti (Jhelum House ), Sujagya Sharma (Ganga House ) and Sambri Pandit (Yamuna House).
While speaking, chief guest stressed the need to become more focused in their goals and to inculcate leadership qualities.
The Principal of the school presented vote of thanks.
