DPS lifts Sudershan Mahajan Memorial Cricket Cup title

JAMMU, Dec 26: Outplaying Project Model School convincingly in the summit clash, Delhi Public School (DPS), Jammu lifted the title trophy of Sudershan Mahajan Memorial Inter-School Indoor Cricket Tournament, organized by KC Sports Club in its spacious Cricket Hall, here.
A total of eight top school teams of the district Jammu participated in the event. In the final match DPS Jammu won the toss and decided to bat first.
Earlier, batting first, DPS Jammu set a target of 49 runs in the stipulated 10 overs, losing 2 wickets in the process.
In reply, Project Model School scored only 22 runs in 8 overs  to help DPS win the match and the title as well.
Ayush Slathia and Anmol took 2 wickets each. The best batsman and the man of the match award was given to Ayush Slathia for his brilliant performance. Delhi Public School Jammu was awarded the overall Rolling Trophy of the Tournament.
Earlier, in the semifinals, Delhi Public School Jammu defeated ACM Public School Jammu in an easy contest.
A special assembly was also organized in the school premises, where the winning team was felicitated by Ruchi Chabra, Principal of the School. She also lauded the efforts of the players and the coach for this achievement.
