JAMMU, Aug 23: DPS, Jammu organised an English recitation competition and GK quiz competition, today.
On the occasion, the students took part in the competition with great enthusiasm. Siddhangna and Atharav stood first whereas Samiksh and Archisha got second place. Shivan Gupta and Shimaz bagged third position. Karishma and Vandana Sharma, the school faculty members adjusted the competition.
To perceive, analyze and understand the importance of general knowledge as a tool in modern education, an inter house GK quiz was organized for class VI to VIII. The quiz had four rounds. At the end of the interesting and challenging rounds, Sayam-VI K, Arya Mahajan VII G, Shahbez Khan VIII G of the Jhelum House were declared as the proud winners of the quiz.
Speaking on the occasion, Additional Director/Principal Dr D Joseph, congratulated the winners and appreciated their efforts. She stated that activities are part and parcel of our education system and as such are required to be organized, in order to increase the knowledge and competitive spirit of the students, particularly in the present competitive world.
Headmistress Delhi Public School Jammu, Ruchi Chabra and Headmistress upto middle school Meenu Gupta also congratulated the winners and all other participants.
Preeti Abrol, coordinator pre-primary block and Mrignani Pathania, coordinator middle wing were present on the occasion.
