JAMMU, Nov 24: Delhi Public School Jammu emerged victorious at Youth Convention and Prize Distribution Ceremony of Inter-School Events 2024, organized by Ramakrishna Mission, Jammu.
The ceremony was graced by chief guest Principal Secretary, School Education, Suresh Kumar Gupta while Dr. Ritu Singh, Pro-Vice Chairperson, DPS Jammu and Founder of DPS Jammu/Nagbani/Katra was guest of honour along with other dignitaries like Swami Yajnadharananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission and Sanjay Puri and judges were Pandit Ashutosh, Ravi Raghuvanshi, Dr. Mukteshi Sharma, Ankush Kesar, Mahua Gupta, Rohit Verma, Dr. Shiv Kumar and Pankaj Khajuria.
The inter-school competitions were held last month in singing, painting and elocution events, where over 200 students displayed exceptional talent. In the results that were announced today, DPS Jammu clinched the Best School Award for its stellar performance across all categories.
Winners from DPS Jammu were Sachika Gupta (XII/E), won 3rd Prize in Painting, Parina Kandhari (X/I), won 3rd Prize in Elocution, Devangi Sharma (IX/B), won 1st Prize in Solo Singing and Aaradhya Sharma (XII/B) won 1st Prize in Solo Singing.
DPS Jammu was declared the overall winner.
In her address, Dr. Ritu Singh highlighted the profound teachings of Swami Ramakrishna Ji and Swami Vivekananda Ji.
Suresh Kumar Gupta, Principal Secretary, School Education emphasized on the transformative power of education and the teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
Sanjay Puri, Managing Director of P Mark Products and a member of the Managing Committee of Ramakrishna Mission J&K, emphasized on the need for such platforms to cultivate creativity, moral values.
Swami Yajnadharananda Ji, in his address highlighted the importance of empowering the younger generation.
