UDHAMPUR, Nov 30: Delhi Public School (DPS) Udhampur organized Science Extravaganza in collaboration with Science and Technology Department Udhampur, here today.
Garib Dass, DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range inaugurated the event and appreciated the work done by the students and the school.
Anil Magotra, SSP Udhampur, was the guest of honour.
The students made wonderful projects on various subjects highlighting the importance of Science in their life.
All the students from Grade I to X participated in the event and made marvelous projects.
The students showcased a wide range of wonderful ideas ranging from environment, space, electricity, energy to disaster camp, Inventions and communication technology.
The project experiments were working models like generation of electricity, working dam, mini Robot etc.
Grade I–V students highlighted different areas of life like people at work, transport, freedom fighters, pollution, our state J & K, space journey etc.
This exhibition was organized to teach the students- team work, effective communication, presentation, confidence and values which are much needed in the society today.
Prizes were distributed for various categories by the science and technology Deptt on the occasion.
Sunita Razdan, District Coordinator of Science and Technology Deptt highlighted the importance of science today more than ever before.
On the occasion Dr J C Gupta, chairman, LMC lauded the students and teachers for their hard work, efforts and creativity.
Dr Anju Pandey, Principal, Sucheta Gupta, Vice Principal and Coordinators were present on the occasion.
