UDHAMPUR, Sept 7: Delhi Public School Udhampur (DPSU) hosted the District Level Roller Skating Championship, bringing together young athletes from five schools: India Kids, Amba School, Christian Academy, DPS Katra, and DPS Udhampur. The event was organized by the District Roller Skating Association Udhampur under the guidance of Kamal Anand, District In-charge. Dr J.C. Gupta, Pro Vice Chairman of DPS Udhampur, was the chief guest and officially opened the championship with a flag-off ceremony.
The competition was fierce, with participants displaying impressive skills and determination. After an intense series of matches, DPS Udhampur emerged as the ‘Overall Winners’, clinching the winner’s trophy with a remarkable haul of 36 gold, 27 silver and 15 bronze medals. The school’s outstanding performance across multiple events highlighted their dedication to the sport.
Principal Dr. Kunal Anand appreciated all participants for their hard work and sportsmanship, praising the efforts of the organizing committee and the school’s coach, Udhay Singh and his team. He emphasized the importance of sports in fostering discipline and resilience among students. The event concluded with an award ceremony, celebrating the athletes’ achievements and DPSU’s commitment to promoting holistic student development.
