JAMMU, Aug 25: Dr Amit Vaid, MBBS, MS (Facial Cosmetic Surgery) has been conferred Bharat Jyoti Award along with a Certificate of Excellence for his contribution in the selfless service of mankind at a function held at New Delhi.
The Award was presented by Dr Bhishma Narain Singh, former Governor of Tamil Nadu and Assam during the seminar organized on topic ‘Economic Growth and National Integration’ by India International Friendship Society at New Delhi.
Dr Amit Vaid has been awarded for outstanding services, achievements and contributions to the public service.
Pertinent to mention here that Dr Amit Vaid has been organizing medical camps in the peripheries of Jammu district, with a view to serve the mankind.
While expressing gratitude to the India International Friendship Society for honouring him, Dr Amit Vaid, in his message, said “I wanted to give something back to the society, especially in rural areas. Many people in rural areas are not getting good treatment due to financial problems.”
Dr Vaid has graduated from Moscow and post-graduated from Germany.
