JAMMU, Dec 18: Assistant Professor Dr Gurdev Chand has been conferred with Young Scientist Award (GRISAAS-2015) for his outstanding contribution in the field of Plant Physiology.
Son of Des Raj and Bhanni Devi, and a resident of District Kathua, Dr Gurdev Chand, is presently working as Assistant Professor (Plant Physiology) in the Division of Plant Physiology, Faculty of Basic Sciences, SKUAST-Jammu, Chatha.
The award was conferred to Dr Gurdev Chand by Dr Jeet Singh Sandhu, Deputy Director General (Crop Science) and Dr Prof Anil Kumar Singh, Vice Chancellor, Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Gwalior, MP, during National Conference on Global Research Initiatives for Sustainable Agriculture and Allied Sciences (GRISAAS-2015) at Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Gwalior, MP.
