Dr Jitendra to kickstart BJP’s country-wide campaign from Jammu

NEW DELHI, Jan 4: Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh has been assigned to formally kickstart BJP’s 10- day country-wide mass campaign and contact drive from Jammu tomorrow.
This is a part of BJP’s country-wide mass contact drive, scheduled to take off simultaneously on the the 5th of January across India and to be formally initiated by each of the party’s national leaders at different major cities of India on the same day. The aim of the mega-drive is to mobilise public support for the Citizenship (Amendment) Act.
Briefing the media about the programme, BJP National General Secretary Dr Anil Jain disclosed here today that at the national capital New Delhi, the drive will be started by BJP National president and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Jain further informed that BJP National Working president J.P. Nadda will start the drive in Ghaziabad. On the same day, he said, former BJP president and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will join the drive in Lucknow and, former BJP president and Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari in Nagpur. Simultaneously, all leading faces of the party will kickstart the programme at different cities across the country.
Dr Jain said, all these national leaders will travel to various parts of the country during the drive. He said, during the campaign, party leaders and workers will contact three crore families across India to rally support for Citizenship (Amendment) Act.
As a part of its programme, BJP has launched a toll-free number 8866288662 for people to give missed calls to register their endorsement of the law.
Jain further said, people will be urged to take to social media to voice their support for the law during the campaign. He said, party leaders have already been holding public meetings and press conferences over the issue as they work to counter the opposition’s campaign against the amended citizenship law.
