SRINAGAR, June 2: Dr Ravinderjit Kour, Professor at Kashmir University (KU), has been appointed as the new head of the post graduate Department of Political science .
A known political scientist who has specialized in State politics, Professor Kour, has been teaching in the post graduate department of political Science since 1988.
She has published substantial number of research papers and articles in leading professional referred journals both national and international level and authored the book “Political awakening in Kashmir” besides various book chapters.
Prof Kour has guided 18 PhD scholars and participated and presented academic research papers in several international and national seminars and conferences held in the country.
She is the member of a number of academic bodies, Executive consultant of Kashmir Women Credit Cooperative and presently associated with peace organization ‘Centre for dialogue and reconciliation’.
