JAMMU, July 6: Former Head of Department Political Science, Kashmir University, a think-tank and founder member of Panun Kashmir (PK), Dr M K Teng breathed his last here, today after a brief illness.
He is survived by his wife and four daughters. A well known writer, Dr Teng was the architect of PK’s Marg Darshan resolution of 199. His cremation will take place at Bantalab Cremation Ground tomorrow at 3pm. Dr Teng who had done doctorate in Public Administration and masters in law was author of many books which among others included Article 370, Myth of Autonomy, Ideological Foundation of National Movement in the State, Terrorism & Human Rights with reference to Kashmir, Government and Politics, Terrorism and Human Rights etc.
A nationalist by core, during his long struggle, Dr Teng organised a number of political and social organizations to fight Muslim Jehad. He also remained fore-front in KPs struggle during last three decades of exile. His demise has been widely mourned.
