NEW DELHI, Nov 26: First Indian Cancer Congress was organized from November 21-24, 2013, Delhi India. Four of the largest oncology societies/associations in India including Association of Radiation Oncologists of India, Indian Association of Surgical Oncology, Indian Society of Oncology and Indian Society of Medical and Pediatric Oncology organized this conference.
Approx. 5000 national and international delegates attended this conference. 1593 abstracts were submitted under various categories as Head and Neck cancers, Breast cancers, Gynaecology cancers etc.
Dr Meenu Gupta Radiation Oncologist from Jammu submitted her research work done in Head and Neck cancers, Geriatric cancers, Thoracic oncology and recent advances and technologies in Brain tumors. Her poster representing research work in geriatric oncology in subhimalayan region got 3rd prize.
