Dr Shafqat awarded for efforts to implement ABDM in J&K

SRINAGAR, July 7: Dr Shafqat Khan, the Additional Mission Director of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) in J&K, received the prestigious ‘IndiGlobal Outstanding Initiative in Healthcare Delivery Award’ at the IndiGlobal 2nd Healthcare Summit held in Hyderabad today.
Dr Khan was recognized for his remarkable efforts in the swift implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission and for achieving the third position nationwide within a mere two months of launching the scan and share facility. The award citation praised his forward-thinking strategies, which have established new standards of excellence in healthcare delivery.
A panel, responsible for analyzing digital healthcare initiatives across the country, selected Dr Khan for this accolade in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the implementation of ABDM through various digital interventions in J&K.
The event witnessed the presence of several experts and dignitaries, including Telangana’s Health Minister, T. Harish Rao and Erolla Srinivas, Chairman of Telangana State Medical Services and Infrastructure Development Corporation, Government of Telangana.
The day-long summit served as a platform for policymakers, healthcare leaders, prominent figures from the pharmaceutical industry, influential individuals in the medical field, scientists, and various stakeholders within the healthcare ecosystem from across India and abroad. Participants engaged in discussions surrounding challenges, opportunities, and technological advancements within the healthcare sector.
