Dr Vaid gets Emeritus Fellowship in History by UGC

JAMMU, Dec 15: Prominent author of many books, Dr Satya Paul Vaid, has been awarded Emeritus Fellowship in History by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
The fellowship has been awarded to Dr Vaid for a prestigious national project titled “Identity and Assertion of the Paharies in the State of Jammu and Kashmir: A case study”, during the year 2012-13.
Dr Vaid has already been awarded Senior Fellowship by ICSSR  in History during 2003-05 on the topic “Socio-Economic Roots of Unrest in J&K:1931-47”. Prior to it, one more widely circulated title “ How Partition Rocked J&K” is the outcome of the PhD thesis of Dr Vaid.
Besides these, Dr Vaid has authored many books, which include ‘Derailing of Youth from Mainstream: Causes and remedies”; Exam, job, career and burning environmental issue”; Tourism destinations in India” in English whereas “Judaee Ka Dard” in Urdu and “Bichhooddee Ki Peera” in Hindi.
Dr Vaid has served J&K Education Department and also remained Principal of Army Public School ,Miran Sahib, Jammu.
