Dr Yashpaul to head Project Monitoring Cell

SRINAGAR, May 19: In order to monitor the progress of establishment of newly sanctioned five Medical Colleges (Doda, Kathua, Rajouri, Baramulla, Anantnag) and two AIIMS (one each in Kashmir and Jammu) by the Government of India in Jammu and Kashmir, the State Government has constituted a Project Monitoring Cell in the Health & Medical Education Department to be headed by Dr Yashpaul Sharma, who has been designated as Project Director.
As per an order issued by the Health & Medical Education Department, Dr Yashpaul Sharma will monitor the progress of all these projects on regular basis and maintain close liaison with the Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare for clearing all bottlenecks related to the establishment of these institutions.
